The Contoured Crocheted Mask Pattern

Is anyone having trouble finding masks these days? Or perhaps the cost has skyrocketed? I know the ones I have been looking at online are either out of stock, have a ship date of late “next month” or are literally 300X the price they once were before COVID-19.

I started making these masks for some of my co-workers because we sometimes work in a dusty environment and need them to filter the dust partials, but had not been able to find any masks from our regular vendors.

I have had quite a few requests for a pattern which contours more to the cheek bone and eyes. The pattern in the link below starts at the top and is worked down. Once complete, the bottom row is what contours to your cheek bone and eyes. The link below will take you the blog pattern 🙂

Happy Stitching!

Many years ago, I was outside playing kickball with the neighborhood kids. My grandmother called me inside and quickly informed me that "Young ladies do not play with boys!". And she sat me down beside her and taught me my first set of crochet stitches. I do not recall my age, exactly, but do remember I was still in my single digits. Today I am very much grateful for her passing this skill down to me. It has saved my life in so many ways. I have used it as physical and emotional therapy more times than I can count...
